Werkstoffe für das Ventilgehäuse
Die gebräuchlichsten Werkstoffe für das Ventilgehäuse sind Messing, Edelstahl und Nylon. Messing ist das am häufigsten verwendete Material für Magnetventile. Es ist sehr robust und widerstandsfähig gegen viele Chemikalien, aber zum Beispiel weniger geeignet für Meerwasser oder destilliertes Wasser. Edelstahl wird für korrosive Medien, wie z. B. Seewasser, empfohlen. Außerdem ist es verschleißfest, was es für eine intensive Nutzung sehr geeignet macht. Nylon ist die billigste Variante, hat gute mechanische Eigenschaften und ist für viele Medien geeignet.

Dichtungsmaterialien

EPDM (Ethylen-Propylen-Dien-Monomer), FKM (Fluorkautschuk, Viton), PTFE (Teflon) und NBR (Nitril-Butadien-Kautschuk oder Nitrilkautschuk) sind die am häufigsten verwendeten Dichtungsmaterialien. EPDM wird für (Heiß-)Wasser empfohlen, FKM wird in der Regel für (Druckluft), Öle und Kraftstoffe empfohlen. NBR ist ein synthetisches Polymer und eignet sich für neutrale Flüssigkeiten wie Wasser oder Hydrauliköl bei Temperaturen bis zu 75°C. Im Allgemeinen haben EPDM und FKM bessere Eigenschaften und es wird in den meisten Fällen empfohlen, eines dieser Polymere anstelle von NBR zu wählen. Außerdem ist der Preis von NBR, EPDM und FKM heutzutage fast gleich. PTFE (Teflon) ist der inerteste der vier Dichtungswerkstoffe. Es ist gegen fast alle Chemikalien beständig. Es ist relativ hart und eignet sich daher für höhere Betriebsdrücke und Temperaturen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass verschiedene Faktoren die Leistung beeinflussen können, wie z. B. die Umgebungstemperatur, die Konzentration und der Betriebsdruck.
Chemische Beständigkeitstabelle für Flüssigkeiten und Gase
Die nachstehende Tabelle zeigt die am häufigsten verwendeten Medien und ihre Verträglichkeit mit den Ventilwerkstoffen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Verträglichkeit durch Temperatur und Konzentration des Mediums beeinflusst werden kann.
