Metal variable area flow switches up to 350 bar

Metal variable area flow switches up to 350 bar close an electrical contact at an adjustable flow of oil or water. The switch itself needs no supply voltage. Choose the version by medium. Oil versions have viscosity compensation, so the set point stays valid for oils from 30 to 600 cSt (centistokes). Water versions are set up for water.

The body material and the thread size set the pressure rating. G 1" versions are rated to 250 bar (≈3630 psi) in brass and 300 bar (≈4350 psi) in stainless steel. G 1/2" versions are rated to 300 bar in brass and 350 bar (≈5080 psi) in stainless steel.

The potential-free normally open reed contact can be wired directly to a PLC (programmable logic controller) input. It switches up to 100 VA on the G 1" versions and up to 60 VA on the G 1/2" versions. For valve or relay coils, add a contact protection relay.

Keep about 50 mm clearance from iron parts, which can disturb the magnetic contact, and use the switch only for liquids without solid or magnetic particles. For a flow reading on a scale as well, on oil, choose a metal variable area flow switch with flow indicator.
